Do we walk in the promises of God?
.
Twelve spies were sent to scout the Promised Land.
All of them agreed that it was just as God had described - a land flowing with milk and honey. Not one of them who saw the Promised Land thought it was not good.
.
But fear has a way of coming in and clouding the promises of God.
Ten of the twelve spies insisted that, though the land was good, they were not equipped to deal with the enemy who resided in the land - the very same enemy God also promised to deliver into their hands.
This fear of the enemy was big enough to override any fruitfulness they saw. And the entire nation was discouraged.
.
But in steps Caleb (which means “bold”), and he quiets the people and insists that the time to enter the land was then.
He did not deny the giants who were in the land. He was not blind to the threat. He was only certain that they were more than able to overcome it. He knew that their power did not come from their numbers or abilities, but from God Himself.
.
What has God promised you?
What obstacles stand in the way?
What fear is clouding His words?
.
By definition, you cannot be bold without threat.
But know that if you trust in God, He is bigger than any threat.
